Pass Google’s 14-day testing rule

Google Play closed testing 12 testers for 14 days.

Real people on real Android devices run your closed test for the full 14 days. You can follow progress along the way, and we help with Google’s production access form.

The requirement

Google Play needs 12 testers opted in for 14 days in a row

If your personal Play Console account was created after 13 November 2023, Google requires a closed test with at least 12 testers opted in for 14 continuous days before you can apply for production access.

12 testers × 14 days
Requirement met. 12 testers, opted in for 14 days in a row.

What Google checks

  • 12 opted-in testers

Google counts the testers who are opted in to your closed test. With fewer than 12, you can’t apply yet.

  • 14 days, no gaps

A tester who opts out before day 14 stops counting. If they opt back in, they need 14 days in a row again.

  • Real engagement

The production form asks whether testers used all your app’s features, and how their use compared with real users.

Keeping 12 people on track for two weeks is the
hard part. That’s the work we take over.

What is Google Play’s 12-tester, 14-day requirement?Requirement

Personal developer accounts created after November 13, 2023 must run a closed test with at least 12 testers who stay opted in continuously for at least 14 days before they can apply for production access. A tester who opts out stops counting toward the 12. This is Google’s rule, not ours.

What if Google doesn’t approve after the 14 days?Requirement

If Google asks for more testing because of the closed testing criteria, we run a new 14-day test at no extra charge. Google decides every application, so we can’t promise approval. Its help page names two reasons for more testing: fewer than 12 opted-in testers, or not enough tester engagement.

Is it allowed to use a testing service?Requirement

Google asks how you found your testers and how engaged they were, and you must answer truthfully. Our testers are real people testing on Android devices, with no bots and no emulators. Google makes you responsible for your app’s compliance, so read its rules for your own app as well.

Are the testers real people? Our testers

Yes. Every tester is a real person testing on an Android device. We use no bots and no emulators. Fake activity would not help you either: Google’s application asks how engaged your testers were, and you have to answer truthfully.

Do I need to do anything during the 14 days? Our testers

No. After setup you can keep building and even upload new app versions during the test. We keep your testers opted in, we replace any tester who leaves, and you receive their feedback. Feedback is included in every plan.

How do I add the testers in Play Console? Our testers

It takes about 5 minutes. After ordering you receive our tester group email address. In Play Console, go to Test and release > Testing > Closed testing, open your track and add the group on the Testers tab. Then send us your opt-in link.

How fast can I get started?Ordering

Our testers start within 4 hours of your submission. From order to production access takes the 14 days of testing plus Google’s review, which usually takes seven days or less.

How does payment work?Ordering

You pay once per app, by card through Stripe. It is one payment: no subscription and nothing renews. We never see or store your card details. If you cancel before our testers join your closed test, you get a full refund.
